I really wish S. would SLEEP THROUGH THE NIGHT IN HER BED!
Two nights ago she woke before 5 am and came in my bed. She was complaining that her legs hurt. S. gets growing pains and they are not pleasant. She cries out and complains (in her sleep) that her legs hurt. I cannot give her anything for at least 30 minutes as it takes that long to convince her to take medicine. I have tried to force it in her and it gets everywhere as she spits it out. I put up with at least 30 minutes of crying and then she will take something and then it takes 20 minutes for it to work so it can be a long night.
Last night it was midnight when she started crying. Yes, midnight. And there were no pains. She came in and started crying that she wanted to go downstairs. I tried to put her off but after 20 minutes of crying...down we go. Hubby was sleeping on the couch as it was hot upstairs. He did not hear us at all. So, I got in the Lazyboy, S. snuggled on me and she fell asleep. WTF? She slept the entire time we were there. I, of course, did not get much sleep. I finally got up around 4:30 and took her back to my bed.
Now you might wonder why I do not take her back to her bed. Well, A. and S. share bunk beds. S. is currently on the top bunk (they switch when they feel like it). I would have tried to put S. back up, but A. fell out or decided to sleep on the floor, right in front of the bed. There was no way I was going to try to lift S. up into bed while trying to NOT step on A.
Hopefully tonight S. will have everything out of her system and will sleep in her bed, all night long.
Since I like to see pictures in other blogs...here is a picture of S. from the other night at soccer. I am the coach so I got this picture from before the other girls showed up. I have to get Hubby to come one night to take photos of her in action.
Yes, I have better photos but I don't want too many pictures of the girls on Blogland that shows their entire face.

I had read your full post may be Sleep disorders may be a reason for that.
Hi!
I'd make sure she has a snack before bed, 2 food groups, maybe one of milk, so maybe cereal and milk. That will make sure she doesn't wake up at 4 or 5 am hungry. I'd put a fan by her bed, so she won't be hot and it will drown out traffic noise. Last, but not least, give her some liquid Tylenol! Hide it in some pudding or yogurt. Or those new tylenol strips that dissolve on the tongue, like a fruit roll. Then you take a bunch of Gravol....
You'll all sleep like babies. If it was too hot for hubby, probably too hot for S!
